Bharat Shah, MD

Bharat Shah, M.D., F.A.C.S. joined St. John’s Health System in 1996. His plastic surgery practice encompasses a wide variety of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, including pediatric craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, facial reconstruction, microsurgery, burn reconstruction, and hair restoration.

Dr. Shah is a Chicago native, with undergraduate training at Loyola University of Chicago with a B.S. Honors Degree in Psychology. He received his medical degree at Loyola University - Stritch School of Medicine. He is residency/fellowship trained in multiple disciplines. Dr. Shah completed his ENT residency at the Cleveland Clinic, a facial plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Missouri - Columbia, and a plastic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee - Memphis.

Dr. Shah is board certified in Plastic Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery, and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

His research interests are primarily focused on medical innovations, including pediatric craniofacial surgery devices and facial reconstructive technology. Dr. Shah is currently involved in three research projects with the St. John’s Research Institute.
